About
SEON is a fraud-prevention and AML-compliance platform that markets itself as an AI command centre built on a large first-party signal layer. Co-founders Tamás Kádár and Bence Jendruszák started the company in 2017 after facing fraud while building a crypto startup. The company says it now protects more than 5,000 businesses globally from hubs in Austin, London, Budapest and APAC. Its platform combines digital footprint, device intelligence, behavioural biometrics, identity verification and AML workflows (customer screening, payment screening, transaction monitoring, case management and regulatory reporting). Named logos/customers in company materials include Bilt, Payop, Lottoland, Cardmarket, tbi Bank; Series C named Revolut, Plaid, Nubank, Afterpay, Spotify and Entain among digital brands analysed.
How they use AI
SEON’s AI tools sit on top of 1,100+ real-time first-party signals. Company newsroom releases describe AI investigation summaries, explainable AI scoring, natural-language rule/filter builders, an AML screening agent, similarity ranking / network analysis, and model tuning that retrains on labelled outcomes (Sep 2025 AI suite; Sep 2026 Signal Intelligence expansion). Identity Verification launched January 2026 combines ID/liveness/proof-of-address with the same fraud-signal layer. Signals are also exposed via a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so customer AI agents can consume SEON evidence. Vendor claims include up to 50% cut in manual review time and rapid (about 14-day) implementations — attribute to SEON.
