BlackLine announced the acquisition of WiseLayer, a New York AI-agent finance automation firm, on 15 December 2025. Terms were undisclosed. WiseLayer agents are to embed into BlackLine’s Verity suite, with an initial focus on accruals and payroll accounting and other judgment-based close work.
WiseLayer co-founders Josh Stein (CEO) and Vikram Bellapravalu (CTO) were quoted; Owen Ryan, BlackLine’s CEO, framed the deal as building a single unified platform for financial operations.
