Bering Lab raised KRW 3 billion (about US$2.3 million) in a pre-Series A round led by SBVA, formerly SoftBank Ventures Asia, with The MBA Fund participating, according to Korean coverage of the company’s announcement dated 7 August 2024. MoneyToday and DigitalToday carried the same funding detail.

Founded in 2020 in Seoul, Bering Lab sells BeringAI as a subscription product and BeringAI Plus with higher-accuracy human post-edit for legal and patent translation. The company said it had about 300 enterprise clients worldwide, including roughly 140 law firms and corporate legal teams, and a repurchase rate above 90%.

Proceeds were earmarked for UX improvements, global expansion — the firm already served clients in 15 countries including the US, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan — and new domains such as finance, clinical and IT.

Figures for client counts and repurchase are company claims unless independently attributed. Buyers should confirm product scope and commercial terms against Bering Lab’s primary materials and https://beringlab.com/.
