Sumsub said on 24 October 2024 that it had been named a Leader in the first Gartner Magic Quadrant for Identity Verification. The claim comes from Sumsub’s own newsroom announcement of the recognition; this account does not reproduce Gartner report text, graphics or evaluation criteria.

Sumsub builds a full-cycle verification platform covering identity and business verification, liveness and deepfake checks, and ongoing monitoring for fraud and compliance. The company has repeatedly positioned analyst recognition as validation of that breadth for banks, fintechs and other regulated buyers that shortlist vendors partly on Magic Quadrant placement.

In the same period, Sumsub’s public materials also referenced Leader placements from other research firms including Liminal and KuppingerCole — statements the company has used in product and partnership releases. Those are separate vendor-announced recognitions and are not Gartner findings.

Firms evaluating the placement would need licensed access to the Gartner report for methodology, peer positioning and any cautions Gartner attaches to Leader status. Sumsub’s newsroom post of 24 October 2024 is the primary public source for the company’s announcement that it appeared in the Leaders quadrant of that inaugural identity-verification Magic Quadrant. Further product detail was not disclosed in the primary announcement.
