Accenture and Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance signed a multi-year agreement in Tokyo on 16 January 2025, running until March 2030, to reinvent how the insurer's workforce operates with generative and agentic AI.
The programme covers AI-enabled digital assistants, a move toward a data-driven management platform, and enterprise-wide digital and AI training, including developing 300 future leaders. A centrepiece is MY Palette, an agent that analyses customer attributes, preferences and local event data to advise salespeople on communication strategies and simplify visit data entry. Accenture said MY Palette is already used by approximately 36,000 salespeople nationwide, with plans to extend it to all Meiji Yasuda employees.
Hideki Nagashima, president and group chief executive of Meiji Yasuda, linked the work to the insurer's ten-year "MY Mutual Way 2030" vision and said the partnership would focus on company-wide advanced technology and practical talent cultivation. Atsushi Egawa, chief executive of Accenture Japan and co-chief executive for Asia Pacific, said the initiative integrates human roles with digital technologies to deliver value beyond traditional insurance functions.
Delivery will draw on Accenture's Center for Advanced AI and its ecosystem partners, the firms said.
