iProov has announced a Human Authorization Service for AI agent gateways, with initial integrations for agentgateway and Cerbos. The company says the service binds a human verification step to a requested agent action and is designed to support Human Authorization and Proof Standard compliance. Those security and compliance assertions are vendor claims and should be tested against implementation detail.
The launch addresses a gap that ordinary authentication does not solve. An organisation may know which employee owns an account yet still lack strong evidence that the employee approved a particular high-impact action at the point of execution. Step-up verification can help, but only if the request shown to the person is clear, the approval cannot be replayed or redirected, and the resulting evidence is tied to the exact agent, tool, resource and time.
