Google has launched NotebookLM mobile apps for Android and iOS, bringing its AI tool for understanding complex information to phones and tablets, Google said on 19 May 2025.
The first version includes many of NotebookLM's core features, with more to follow in the coming months, Google said.
Users can download Audio Overviews, the tool's podcast-style summaries of source material, for offline and background listening, and can tap Join to ask the AI hosts questions or steer the discussion.
The apps also let users share a website, PDF or YouTube video to NotebookLM from any app on their device, adding it as a new source. Google said it will add more input types over time.
Google said a mobile app had been one of the most frequent requests from the millions of people using NotebookLM. The app is available on the App Store for iOS 17 and later, on iPhone and iPad, and on the Play Store for Android 10 and later.
