About

AutoRek is a Glasgow software company, founded in 1994, that automates reconciliation and financial control processes for banks, asset managers, insurers and payment firms. Operations and finance teams use it to load data from many sources, match transactions, investigate breaks, and produce management and regulatory reports from one controlled platform instead of spreadsheets. AutoRek serves more than 100 clients in 15 countries, among them Royal London. In 2025 it launched ARIA, an AI agent that works inside the platform, and in August 2026 it bought Grath, adding a multi-tenant SaaS product and Topa, a set of matching and AI services that firms can build into their own systems. Chris Livesey is chief executive.

How they use AI

ARIA, built on Microsoft Azure inside the AutoRek platform, learns from past reconciliation patterns to improve matching, triages breaks and proposes supervised resolutions with escalation rules, works alongside users with in-context guidance, and analyses new data feeds to help teams build the next automated reconciliation. It is an add-on to AutoRek v6.18 and AutoRek Mion v1.2. Through Grath, AutoRek now also offers Topa, which exposes a matching engine, machine learning models trained for financial services and an agentic reasoning layer for exception handling as APIs, alongside Grath's multi-tenant SaaS for firms that want rapid deployment.
