Anaplan said it acquired Syrup Tech, an AI-native supply-chain platform for global retailers and inventory-intensive businesses to plan, buy, price and allocate, in a Miami release dated 9 September 2025.

Syrup's engines use proprietary neural networks trained on granular sales data, product imagery and external signals such as social sentiment, influencer trends and weather for forecasts and dynamic recommendations across the retail planning lifecycle. Claimed retailer outcomes include 5–10% margin improvements, 10% higher sell-through and 20–30% inventory cost reductions — translating to more than US$20m annual savings per US$1bn revenue on average. Named Syrup customers include Faherty and Reformation. Anaplan said more than 300 of the world's top retailers and most leading luxury brands use its platform. All Syrup employees join Anaplan; co-founders James Theuerkauf and Ferdinand Stockmann take leadership roles; terms were undisclosed.

CEO Charlie Gottdiener said: "Syrup's highly sophisticated AI, paired with Anaplan's global scale and platform depth, will change how modern retailers make critical decisions." Outcome percentages and customer footprint are company statements; AI-360 has not independently verified them.
