Anaconda has announced the launch of AI Catalyst, a new enterprise AI development suite within the Anaconda Platform. Built in collaboration with AWS and now available to AWS customers, AI Catalyst is designed to provide a governed, transparent, and cost-efficient environment for building, deploying, and managing AI applications at scale.

AI Catalyst debuts with a curated catalog of vetted open-source models, giving organizations the ability to evaluate, compare, and operate models within their own controlled environments. The offering aims to reduce the operational and compliance challenges that often slow enterprise AI adoption, including security assessments, licensing reviews, and performance validation.

Addressing Growing Complexity in Open-Source AI

As open-source foundations increasingly underpin modern AI applications, enterprises face widening gaps between fast-moving innovation and stringent security and compliance requirements. Development teams frequently encounter delays associated with risk assessments and must invest significant time in infrastructure setup and model optimization.

AI Catalyst seeks to bridge this gap by pairing open-source velocity with enterprise-grade controls. Each model in the catalog includes an AI Bill of Materials and detailed risk profile to support audit-ready transparency. Anaconda’s secure inference stack is engineered to minimize third-party vulnerabilities, while dynamic evaluation workflows surface risks—including prompt-injection susceptibility—before models reach production environments.

The suite supports deployment across local or cloud environments, with options for CPU or GPU execution, enabling flexibility for varied enterprise architectures and cost parameters. By providing pre-optimized, benchmarked models, AI Catalyst aims to reduce development timelines from weeks to days.

Key Capabilities

AI Catalyst introduces several features targeted at enterprise AI teams:

  • Security-first architecture: Model-level risk assessments and a hardened inference server reduce exposure to security issues across the stack, from quantization to runtime.
  • Policy-driven governance: Organizations can configure granular governance controls based on licensing, vulnerability profiles, compute needs, and performance benchmarks.
  • Transparent model documentation: Comprehensive AI Bills of Materials offer visibility into components and risks associated with leading open-source language models.
  • Optimized performance at lower cost: Support for quantized models helps limit compute consumption without degrading performance, with deployment options spanning CPU and GPU.
  • Flexible deployment pathways: Models can be accessed through the command line, Anaconda Desktop, or cloud-based endpoints, enabling teams to integrate AI development into existing workflows.

Additional Platform Updates

Anaconda also introduced two enhancements to its broader Platform. Customers can now deploy a self-hosted cloud version of the Platform within an Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), allowing enterprises to maintain their established security standards while operating on AWS infrastructure.

In addition, Anaconda unveiled unified search capabilities to streamline resource discovery across its products, reducing context switching for developers. Expanded model access options allow teams to deploy models to AWS GPU-enabled autoscaling endpoints, run them locally through Anaconda Desktop, or integrate them via CLI—further supporting varied enterprise AI workflows.

Laura Sellers, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Anaconda, said: “Enterprises don’t want just AI models—they want an end-to-end platform where they can confidently build, deploy, and govern AI applications.

“With AI Catalyst, we’re committed to setting a new standard for enterprise AI development by bringing Anaconda’s curated, secure open-source ecosystem together with the scale and governance of our customers’ own Amazon VPC.

“This is designed to eliminate weeks of manual model evaluation and dependency management, helping to ensure consistent security from experimentation through production and empowering teams to turn open source models into breakthrough AI applications and business outcomes faster.”
