Akur8 said that the Baltic entities of Insurance Group PZU had expanded their partnership by adopting Akur8’s Demand module to strengthen insurance pricing models. PZU’s Baltics businesses had been using Akur8 since 2021 and were among early adopters of the platform, the company said.

The Demand module is described as helping pricing teams understand customer demand and price sensitivity while keeping models transparent and under actuarial control. Chief executive Samuel Falmagne said the extension signalled confidence in the product and in taking PZU further along what Akur8 calls its pricing sophistication path.

Anu Hoop, pricing actuary at PZU Lietuva, said in the announcement that the Demand module would help the team better understand customer demand and price sensitivity and offer more competitive, personalised products. Commercial terms of the expansion were not disclosed.
