Airbyte said its Agentic Data Platform, also referred to as Airbyte Engine, entered public beta, according to a company blog dated 19 February 2026 by Alex Cuoci and Alexandre Girard.
The beta builds on December 2025 open-source Agent Connectors with managed OAuth authentication, hosted agent connectors and Context Store. Launch coverage included more than 20 agent connectors such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Gong, Linear and GitHub. When enabled, Context Store refreshes hourly with per-source isolated stores and organisation-level access control. Airbyte claimed complex record search latency of half a second or less and pitched developers on roughly 10 lines of code for real-time fetch and write, including PydanticAI examples and a single-tool-per-connector pattern via connector tool utilities.
The February beta is an earlier milestone than Airbyte's broader May 2026 platform launch with a larger connector set. Capability and latency claims are company statements and have not been independently verified by AI-360.
