Affine, NeuralShift's AI legal-research platform at affine.law, has moved from progressive pilots into firm-wide and boutique deployments in Portugal, with a further data partnership on Unified Patent Court case law — a combined picture drawn from client and partner media rather than an Affine-owned newsroom.

Vieira de Almeida's Tech Hub said on 12 March 2025 that VdA completed a firm-wide rollout of Affine for deep legal research over Portuguese legislation and Portuguese and European case law after progressive adoption. The VdA–NeuralShift relationship began in 2022 through the Centre for Responsible AI consortium led by Unbabel, where VdA was the only law firm, with Next Generation EU / Portugal RRP funding context. Iberian Lawyer reported on 10 April 2025 that criminal-litigation boutique Melo Alves adopted Affine for knowledge management and legal research — NeuralShift's first criminal-litigation boutique client. Managing partner Tiago Melo Alves said integrating public sources with internal documents proved particularly valuable for pleadings and appeals.

NLP Legal said on 17 September 2025 that its IP team would help integrate Unified Patent Court case law into Affine's legal database. Company materials describe EU-hosted, GDPR and SOC 2-framed research over legislation, case law, soft law and firm knowledge with Word and Teams integration. Named-client scope is as reported by those outlets; AI-360 has not independently audited deployments.
