Trulioo has launched Business Risk Horizon, a business risk scoring capability within its global platform, the company said on 15 October 2026. Horizon traces ownership through corporate structures, flags sanctioned owners or ties to restricted jurisdictions, and attaches a plain-English explanation to each score so teams can document and defend access decisions.
The product combines authoritative Know Your Business data with agentic research into a business's operations and relationships. Trulioo said a leading AI lab — unnamed in the release — has contracted as an early Horizon adopter to help decide which businesses can access its models, following a 29 September White House accord in which leading AI companies committed to stronger internal controls and auditing. The same scoring approach is also positioned for payments companies and marketplaces assessing merchants and sellers.
Chief product officer Zac Cohen said: "The riskiest businesses are built to look ordinary on paper. Ownership runs through layers of entities across jurisdictions, and the link to a shell company or sanctioned owner sits several steps back. Horizon traces those links to the people behind them and shows the evidence, so teams know who really owns a business before they grant access." Chief executive Vicky Bindra said: "A higher-risk customer can still be a good customer if you understand the exposure and can manage it."
Illustrative scenarios in the release — such as address-concentration patterns that look routine in one jurisdiction and unusual in another — are examples, not verified case studies. Trulioo said it plans to expand Horizon across payments, marketplaces, financial services and other industries over time.
