Sumsub has launched a Model Context Protocol integration and a suite of AI agent skills so that agents can configure Sumsub environments from uploaded AML policies, the company said on 18 June 2026. It positioned the release as giving agents access to day-to-day operations and to the platform’s configuration layer.

Sumsub said an agent can take a compliance policy document, including multi-page PDFs with country-specific risk brackets, weighted scoring tables and conditional logic, and generate live platform settings. Those settings include verification levels, risk questionnaires and onboarding workflows in the customer dashboard. The company said work that previously took days can now complete in minutes.

Sumsub listed three capability areas. First, policy-to-configuration: teams upload AML policy or regulatory requirements and ask an agent to build the Sumsub environment from them. Second, faster technical integration: agents can write embedding code and place verification as a mandatory step in an onboarding flow. Third, day-to-day compliance tasks such as reviewing applicants, running analytics, generating verification links and responding to regulatory changes.

The integration is model-agnostic, Sumsub said, and designed to work with leading AI agents including Claude and ChatGPT. The company published open-source agent skills on GitHub, installable with a single terminal command, and said it was listed on the ChatGPT Apps platform. Chief product officer Andrew Novoselsky said the agentic experience connects an AI agent directly to the configuration layer so a team can hand over an AML policy and have the environment built automatically.

Sumsub said access to the MCP integration is restricted by separate permission for granular data control, and that sensitive actions run in an isolated sandbox so configuration changes are reviewed and approved by a human. It also linked the launch to Summy, its in-platform AI copilot for compliance and fraud teams. Full documentation and agent skills are available through Sumsub’s developer resources, the company said.
