Microsoft, in collaboration with NVIDIA and WeTransact, has announced the launch of the Agentic Launchpad, an initiative designed to support the development of next-generation agentic AI systems across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The initiative forms part of Microsoft’s broader investment in UK AI infrastructure and innovation, following its previously announced $30 billion (£22 billion) commitment to advance cloud and AI capabilities in the region. The Agentic Launchpad is intended to strengthen the regional AI ecosystem by enabling software companies to design, build, and scale intelligent and autonomous AI applications.
Through this collaboration, participants will gain access to technical resources and expertise from Microsoft and NVIDIA, including cloud computing infrastructure, AI development tools, and guidance on building scalable agentic AI platforms. The program will also connect participating organizations with industry peers, investors, and subject-matter experts through dedicated workshops and events.
The Agentic Launchpad will provide opportunities for engagement with global technology leaders and access to emerging AI research, offering companies a pathway to accelerate the deployment and commercialization of agentic and generative AI technologies.
According to Microsoft UK & Ireland CEO Darren Hardman, the initiative reflects a broader focus on fostering AI innovation and economic growth across the region. NVIDIA’s involvement through its Inception program will also provide start-ups with access to the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute and technical expertise in AI infrastructure and model optimization.
Applications for the first cohort are open to UK- and Ireland-based software companies developing agentic applications, intelligent systems, or generative AI platforms. Interested organizations are invited to outline their technical approach and innovation roadmap as part of the submission process, which runs from 4–28 November.
