Icertis launched Vera to power contract intelligence with smarter AI, the company said on 10 September 2025. The release positions Vera as an intelligence layer across the Icertis Contract Intelligence suite rather than a standalone chatbot.

Contract systems of record are absorbing generative models for extraction, obligation tracking and negotiation support. Buyers still need to separate demo fluency from clause-level accuracy, audit trails and how models behave on the organisation’s own templates.

Icertis has long sold enterprise CLM into regulated industries. Vera is the firm’s bid to keep that stack current as legal and procurement teams evaluate purpose-built AI against general copilots.

Procurement and legal operations should press for measurable lift on their clause libraries — and for clear controls on what leaves the tenant — before treating any vendor AI label as a completed migration.
