Google has introduced agentic capabilities to AI Mode in Search, enabling automated task completion across restaurant reservations, local service appointments, and event tickets. The enhanced platform expands to over 180 new countries and territories in English, targeting complex query processing for enterprise and consumer applications.
The agentic features launch with restaurant reservation functionality, allowing users to specify multiple constraints including party size, date, time, location, and cuisine preferences. AI Mode searches across multiple reservation platforms and websites to find real-time availability, presenting curated restaurant lists with available reservation slots and direct booking page links.
Google has established partnerships with reservation and ticketing platforms including OpenTable, Resy, Tock, Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek, and Booksy to enable the agentic experience. The functionality is available for Google AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. through the "Agentic capabilities in AI Mode" experiment in Labs.
New collaboration features include link-sharing capabilities allowing users to share AI Mode responses with contacts. Recipients can access shared responses, ask follow-up questions, and continue exploration independently, supporting collaborative planning for trips and events.
The platform addresses complex query processing with expanded global availability across 180+ countries. Personalisation controls allow users to adjust settings through Google Account management, while collaborative features support team-based planning and decision-making processes.
Organisations gain access to automated task completion capabilities with integrated reservation and ticketing systems. The global expansion provides enterprise users with consistent AI-powered search experiences across international markets, supporting business travel and event planning workflows.
