Glean announced over $260 million Series E funding and next-generation prompting features, the company said on 10 September 2024. Company materials reported a $4.6 billion valuation with Altimeter and DST Global among the leads, alongside Work AI prompting for the enterprise.

Enterprise search and work assistants are raising large rounds while pitching grounded answers across SaaS apps. Buyers still need permission-aware retrieval and measurable answer quality on their own corpora.

Glean has sold Work AI as search plus assistants over company knowledge. The Series E is fuel to deepen prompting and enterprise deployment as general copilots compete for the same desktop.

Knowledge-platform owners should insist on permission tests and citation quality on sensitive repositories — before treating any Work AI prompting launch as a completed intranet replacement.
