Feedzai selected as first-ranked tenderer to safeguard the digital euro with AI fraud detection, the company said on 2 October 2025.

ECB concluded a framework agreement ranking Feedzai first for the central fraud detection and prevention mechanism for the digital euro. Risk and fraud management component: estimated value €79.1 million; maximum €237.3 million. Feedzai would deliver with subcontractor PwC; actual development subject to later ECB decisions and EU legislation.
Platform would supply a fraud risk score for P2P and P2M transactions for PSPs to use alongside their own controls. Same-day announcement also disclosed the US$75 million / US$2 billion valuation round (lead item).
