Experian is a global data and technology company best known for its consumer and business credit bureaus. It sells credit data, scores, decisioning software and fraud and identity services to lenders, and runs consumer services that serve more than 215 million free members. Experian took its current form in 1996, when the UK business and the former TRW credit business in the US were combined and rebranded. The group has its corporate headquarters in Dublin, employs 25,200 people across 33 countries and is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Revenue for the year to March 2026 was US$8.445bn.

How they use AI

Experian Assistant is a generative AI tool in the Ascend Platform that helps analysts and modellers understand Experian data, write and check code and speed up model development. It won the 2025 BIG Innovation Award and the 2025 FinTech Breakthrough Award for Analytics Innovation. In June 2026 Experian launched the Agent Operating System, an agentic layer in Ascend that runs agents across fraud, identity, credit risk, marketing, analytics, operations and governance with oversight built in. It reaches early adopters in 2026 before rolling out across more than 2,300 client solutions.
