Diligent has unveiled Diligent AI Risk Essentials, the company said on 23 April 2025, a solution designed to initiate or strengthen enterprise risk management programmes. The company said the product can be implemented in less than a week and draws on more than 120,000 risks from SEC 10-K filings for AI-assisted peer benchmarking, risk assessments, mitigation plans and an interactive heatmap.
AI Risk Essentials builds on GovernAI features inside the Diligent One Platform. Diligent cited research that more than 77% of directors regularly discuss new risks — a figure attributed to Diligent's cited survey material — and said only 32% of organisations characterise their risk oversight as mature or robust.
Scott Bridgen, general manager for risk and audit, said: "The volume and complexity of risk management have increased exponentially in the last five years, but most organizations are hampered by varying levels of risk maturity, resourcing and inadequate tools. Now, by leveraging AI-powered insights and benchmarking capabilities, organizations of any size can quickly identify, assess and mitigate risks." Michael Rasmussen of GRC 20/20 said AI-driven benchmarking can help leaders align ERM programmes with strategic objectives.
AI Risk Essentials sits in Diligent's three-tier ERM suite. An AI Innovations Virtual Summit was scheduled for 30 April 2025 to showcase the broader AI roadmap. About-block figures include more than one million users and 700,000 board members and leaders.
