Celonis announced roughly US$1 billion in funds — US$400 million of equity at nearly US$13 billion post-money plus access to as much as US$600 million of credit facilities — the company said on 23 August 2022. Qatar Investment Authority led the equity, with Activant, a Neuberger Berman-advised fund, Alta Park and Commonfund among participants.
Co-CEOs Bastian Nominacher and Alex Rinke framed the raise around resiliency and customer urgency in a tougher macro. Celonis cited more than 2,500 enterprise deployments and 250-plus consulting and technology partners including IBM, Accenture and others. A prior Series D had been US$1 billion at an US$11 billion valuation in June 2021.
Process mining and process intelligence remain Celonis’s core pitch as enterprises look for execution visibility before layering agents.
Buyers should ask how process intelligence feeds automation decisions, what data leaves the estate, and how partner implementations are governed.
