Atlassian made Rovo enterprise AI search, chat and agents available to Jira, Confluence and Jira Service Management customers and launched Rovo Studio for building agents and automations, the company said on 9 April 2025.
Collaboration suites are bundling AI search and agents into Premium and Enterprise seats rather than selling them as add-ons alone. Buyers still need permission-aware retrieval and agent guardrails on their own Confluence and Jira data.
Atlassian sells teamwork software with Rovo as the AI layer. The post cited more than one million monthly users of Atlassian AI capabilities and customer quotes from Pythian and HarperCollins.
Platform owners should insist on permission-boundary and citation pilots — before treating any Rovo rollout as a completed enterprise AI programme.
