Akur8 launched Akur8 Agents on 29 September 2026, introducing no-code actuarial agents aimed at repeatable pricing work inside its platform. The first release, Agents for pricing, is described as handling tasks such as building pricing structures, creating reports from templates, developing formulas, checking variable usage before modelling, and bringing rating logic from spreadsheets into Akur8 through a reviewable process.

The company said Agents interact with the existing platform while Akur8’s actuarial and statistical engines continue to perform the modelling maths. Actuaries remain responsible for reviewing output, applying judgment and approving actions before execution. Akur8 said every action is logged and that customer data is never used to train shared AI models.

Chief executive and co-founder Sam Falmagne said in the announcement that the aim was expert agents that organise repeatable work and make the platform easier to use, not to replace actuaries or hand work to a black box. Akur8 said it plans to extend Agents to Reserving and Life workflows.

The company cited more than 3,000 actuaries using its platform daily across 350-plus insurer customers in more than 40 countries — figures stated by Akur8, not independently audited by AI-360.
