The company said the solution supports real-time recording of the entire verification process so firms can meet Spanish requirements for recorded identity verification under anti-money-laundering rules.

Sumsub said the approach records identity documents and liveness checks to create a secure, auditable video trail that operators review before approval. It positioned the offering for financial services, crypto, payments and trading firms that need to maintain AML compliance while onboarding customers under Spanish and wider EU expectations.

The company said the approach underwent an independent third-party legal review to support regulatory alignment, and linked the launch to SEPBLAC’s authorisation for video-based identity verification.
