# Q2 Code brings governed AI development for digital banking on Claude Code via Bedrock

[Q2 Holdings and Amazon Web Services](https://aws.amazon.com/?ref=ai-360.online) said Q2 announced Q2 Code, a governed AI-powered development environment for extensions and integrations on the Q2 Digital Banking Platform via Q2 Innovation Studio, in an Austin [joint release dated 16 April 2026](https://press.aboutamazon.com/aws/2026/4/q2-announces-q2-code-a-governed-ai-development-environment-for-the-q2-digital-banking-platform-built-with-anthropics-claude-code-and-amazon-bedrock?ref=ai-360.online).

The AI stack integrates Anthropic's Claude Code through Amazon Bedrock for generative and agentic AI development in a compliant enterprise environment for financial services. Natural-language prompts produce Q2 SDK-compliant extensions and integrations aligned to platform APIs and patterns, with a claim of accelerating delivery from weeks to days while keeping governance and security for regulated financial institutions. Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union was named as an early adopter; the Early Access programme expands through 2026, and Q2 is also using Q2 Code internally across the product and engineering lifecycle.

Adam Blue, CTO of Q2, said: "With Q2 Code, we're embedding AI directly into the SDK to drive innovation. It will help banks, credit unions and partners build on Q2 faster while maintaining the trust, governance and resilience they require." John Kain, director of Financial Services Market Development at AWS, said: "Amazon Bedrock gives organizations the flexibility to build and scale generative AI applications with enterprise security and proven scalability. With Q2 Code, Q2 is enabling developers to innovate faster and more efficiently to build high-quality software while meeting the rigorous requirements of the financial services industry."
