[F5](https://www.f5.com/?ref=ai-360.online) has announced F5 Workforce AI Security, an agentless addition to its AI Security Platform that gives organisations visibility and policy control over employee AI use and the actions agents take on users’ behalf, [the company said on 9 September 2026](https://investors.f5.com/news/news-details/2026/F5-Expands-AI-Security-Platform-With-F5-Workforce-AI-Security/default.aspx?ref=ai-360.online).

F5 said AI assistants and coding agents now access enterprise systems, call tools and change data using permissions granted by their users, so AI can act with borrowed authority. It cited its 2026 State of Application Strategy Report, in which 66% of organisations already permit AI to automatically adjust policies and configurations.

Planned capabilities include discovering AI services in browsers and developer tools; attributing AI interactions to users and agents; inspecting tool calls across MCP servers and supported agent tools to allow, block or modify them before they run; and network-based controls across browsers, CLIs, coding agents and MCP clients without another endpoint client.

“Employees aren’t just asking AI questions anymore,” said Kunal Anand, Chief Product Officer at F5.

F5 launched the AI Security Platform in June 2026 and added an MCP Gateway in August. Workforce AI Security will be generally available from October 2026.
