# Cardamon receives ISO 27001 certification

[Cardamon](https://cardamon.ai/?ref=ai-360.online) [said on 19 August 2025](https://cardamon.ai/articles/cardamon-receives-iso27001-certification?ref=ai-360.online) that it had achieved ISO 27001 certification, describing the standard as the leading international benchmark for information security management. The company said the milestone reinforces its commitments to data protection, risk management and global compliance standards as it sells AI software into regulated financial institutions.

Cardamon builds a platform that maps regulation to obligations and product requirements for banks and fintechs. It positioned the certification as assurance for those clients that sensitive information — including regulatory source material and firm-specific mapping work — is handled under a recognised information-security management system.

On its announcement page, Cardamon said clients gain added confidence that sensitive information is safeguarded with industry best practices while the company continues to deliver AI-powered compliance solutions. It also described the certification as reflecting dedication to secure, resilient and trustworthy infrastructure for regulated financial institutions worldwide.

Founders Areg Nzsdejan and Dmytro Astakhov have previously framed Cardamon’s product around speeding the path from regulation to obligations to product requirements after years in product roles at Revolut. The ISO post did not publish a certificate number, the name of the certifying auditor, the certificate scope statement or the surveillance-audit cycle that clients often request in vendor questionnaires.
