[BlackLine](https://www.blackline.com/?ref=ai-360.online) announced the acquisition of WiseLayer, a New York AI-agent finance automation firm, [on 15 December 2025](https://www.blackline.com/about/press-releases/2025/blackline-acquires-wiselayer-to-enhance-its-ai-capabilities/?ref=ai-360.online). Terms were undisclosed. WiseLayer agents are to embed into BlackLine’s Verity suite, with an initial focus on accruals and payroll accounting and other judgment-based close work.

WiseLayer co-founders Josh Stein (CEO) and Vikram Bellapravalu (CTO) were quoted; Owen Ryan, BlackLine’s CEO, framed the deal as building a single unified platform for financial operations.
