# Bering Lab acquires Intersphere to expand AI translation beyond legal and patent

[Bering Lab](https://beringlab.com/?ref=ai-360.online) announced the acquisition of Korean translation firm Intersphere [on 18 September 2025](https://www.mt.co.kr/future/2025/09/18/2025091808345816242?ref=ai-360.online), extending its AI translation franchise beyond legal and patent work into clinical, manufacturing and gaming demand, MoneyToday reported, citing the company.

Intersphere was founded in 2003 in Los Angeles. Long-standing clients named in the coverage include Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor, POSCO and Amorepacific; clinical clients include Bayer, Novo Nordisk, IQVIA and Novotech. Intersphere CEO Kim Ju-hoon continues to run the unit post-deal. Co-CEO Moon Sung-hyun framed the purchase as expanding AI translation across industries.

Earlier in 2025 Bering Lab also acquired Tombali, a legal translation provider. A Korea Innovation Foundation programme note on PR Newswire later that year corroborated both acquisitions as part of an AI roll-up strategy.
