# AlphaSense agrees to acquire Tegus for US$930m; valuation rises to US$4bn

[AlphaSense](https://www.alpha-sense.com/?ref=ai-360.online) [said on](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/alphasense-to-join-forces-with-tegus-increases-latest-valuation-to-4b-302169502.html?ref=ai-360.online) 11 June 2024 that it had agreed to acquire Tegus, a provider of expert research, private-company content and financial workflow tools used by investors and strategy teams.

The company valued Tegus at US$930 million in the announcement and said the combination would deepen its market-intelligence coverage for public and private companies.

The deal was accompanied by a funding round that lifted AlphaSense’s valuation to US$4 billion, including a US$650 million raise co-led by Viking Global Investors and other investors named in the release.

Tegus’s library was described as covering more than 35,000 public and private companies with investor-led expert interviews and supporting research workflows.

At announcement the transaction was expected to close in the third quarter of 2024; AlphaSense later reported completion of the acquisition.
