# Akur8 raises $25m with FinTLV joining Guidewire and BlackFin

[Akur8](https://www.akur8.com/?ref=ai-360.online) [said on 4 September 2023](https://www.akur8.com/news/akur8-raised-another-25m-and-introduces-new-investor-fintlv?ref=ai-360.online) that it had closed a $25 million funding round, bringing total funding to more than $60 million. The round introduced Tel Aviv-based insurtech and fintech venture firm FinTLV as a new investor, with Guidewire Software and historical investor BlackFin Capital Partners also participating.

Chief client officer Brune de Linares said proceeds would accelerate growth in markets such as the US and Asia-Pacific and further develop an integrated pricing solution for property and casualty and health carriers. Chief executive Samuel Falmagne described FinTLV’s participation as a strategic endorsement; FinTLV managing partner Gil Arazi said the firm invests selectively in top insurtech companies.

The announcement also referenced a joint in-person gathering of Israeli actuaries tied to the partnership launch. Valuation and ownership terms beyond the $25 million figure were not disclosed.
